Montaña de Oro, California - 2016

Kelp stipes are left strewn over a beautiful section of stratified sandstone by the tide. Tectonic activity has dramatically tilted beds of stratified sandstone that are constantly being peeled apart by the erosion of the sea. The geology on display in this small section of California coastline is a wonderful array of color and unique formations.
